Hi, I'm Ale.
I create ceramics because I am fascinated by the idea that an object can convey a presence, an atmosphere, almost a personality, that it can interpret a feeling, a precise sensation, with delicacy and irony.
Each piece is born slowly, from the hands, from mistakes, from experiments, and from the continuous dialogue with the material.
I am interested in living ceramics: irregular, ironic, delicate, imperfect.
With Wasetti, I try to create objects suspended between design, sculpture, and contemporary imagery.
I draw inspiration from Asian and European pop culture, everyday objects, toys, symbols, colors, and everything that can evoke simple and delicate emotions.
I don't look for industrial perfection; I like unique pieces.
I look for character, moments, authenticity.
Each object is handmade and carries with it small variations that make it unique.
For me, that's where beauty lies: in differences, in the traces of the process, in imperfections that tell something real and, I hope, with irony.
Wasetti is my way of transforming ceramics into a small surreal universe made of emotions, madness, and dreams.
